The Chawla's family recipe goes back to Haldwani in North India in the 1960s. Chicken is cooked in milk and cream with black pepper and green cardamom, and the family recipe uses no red chilli and no vegetable oil. It is served with bread and mint chutney. Cream Paneer is the vegetarian version.
